Your Prime Directive / Personal Mission

One of the clearest ways to state your personal mission, or prime directive, is to complete the following phrase. Once you complete it with what’s top of mind for you, give it a rest. Come back to it, re-read it, and start pulling it apart by each word or phrase that comes to your mind as you describe that part of your statement. As you interview yourself, you may find a deeper meaning and/or a more specific way to describe your personal mission. This becomes a quick way to access your prime directive in any given situation to help you stay focused, make decisions clearly and guide your journey toward what you want; that is, if you are off-track with your prime directive, you will know it and can adjust accordingly.
