A Soul Mate is one of two persons compatible with each other in disposition, point of view, or sensitivity, perfectly suited to the other in temperament and/or strongly resembling the other in attitudes or beliefs. Generally, soul mates are considered to be ideally suited to the other as a close friend or romantic partner.
