Heart Disease
Heart Disease is an umbrella term that refers to a variety of specific coronary diseases and conditions wherein structural or functional abnormality of the heart, or of the blood vessels supplying the heart, impairs its normal function. The various diseases that fall under the umbrella of heart disease include diseases of your blood vessels, such as coronary artery disease; heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias); heart infections; and heart birth defects (congenital heart defects).
