Baby Boomers
Baby Boomers is the name given to the generation of Americans who were born in a “baby boom” following World War II, from 1946 to 1964. Over time, the connotations of the term have widened. The major economic, social and demographic changes that have occurred have given the ‘baby boomers’ a unique position with greater health, wealth and more active old age than previous generations. Due to the size of their generation and the cultural changes of their formative years, the boomers have thought of themselves with a generational consciousness arguably more than any generation before or since.
